NEW MANAGEMENT:
The New England Women's Pool Tour (NEWPT) welcomes back Bonnie Saritelli as the tour coordinator. Bonnie ran the tour in the 2006 season but due to personal reasons stepped down for the 2007 season. Many thanks to Marc Dionne for serving as tour coordinator in Bonnie's absence. In 2006 Bonnie worked very hard to find corporate sponsors for the tour, generated extra revenue for tour operations by producing ad booklets, maintained good relationships with the host room owners, held a State Championship which was won by WPBA pro Dawn Hopkins, ran the tour in a professional manner, and was generally well liked by the players. We at the tour look forward to working with her again and anticipate a successful 2008 season.

2007 PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Stacie Bourbeau earned the most tour points for the 2007 season but opted to pass the Player of the Year spot to Liz (Bernier) Taylor. Liz is invited to play in all of the 2008 WPBA events. The NEWPT congratulates Stacie for having earned first place and wishes Liz good luck in the WPBA.

TOUR SCOPE:
The New England Women's Pool Tour is a stepping stone for female amateur and semi pro players to play in women's professional events. Qualifiers are recognized by the WPBA and the event winner gets paid entry into a WPBA pro event. The Player of the Year is invited to play in all WPBA events for the following year.
Many players travel from other states to play in events. This tour is a great way to gain valuable experience, compete, meet other people who share a love of pool, and give women an opportunity to move their game up to the next level.
